International Cooperation (Lead Role)

H.E. Vanrath leads the International Affairs and Cooperation of the General Prosecution Office, serving as the chief liaison with foreign prosecutorial authorities and international organizations.

In this capacity, he coordinates cross-border initiatives – such as mutual legal assistance treaties, evidence-sharing agreements, joint investigations, and regional crime-prevention programs. He 5 has been instrumental in forging formal partnerships (for example, negotiating Memoranda of Understanding on cooperation with counterparts in countries like ASEAN, China and Russia) and in representing Cambodia in international prosecutorial networks. Through this role, he works toensure that Cambodia is an active participant in global efforts against all types of transnational crimes such as drug trafficking, money laundering, cybercrime, and corruption.
