Activities & Events

Riders for Charity engages in a variety of activities and events throughout the year:

Charity Rides: Organized rides to various provinces or destinations, where participants gather sponsorships or donations per kilometer ridden. For example, a day-long ride to Kampong Cham might double as a fundraiser for a local orphanage. These rides draw dozens (sometimes hundreds) of riders and help raise both funds and awareness for chosen causes.

Road Safety Campaigns: The group partners with traffic police and NGOs to hold road safety days. Activities include free helmet distribution, bike safety inspections, and public demonstrations of safe riding techniques. H.E. Vanrath and other members often speak at schools or community halls about the importance of traffic laws and courteous driving.

Community Service Projects: Riders for Charity members volunteer off their bikes as well. They have organized blood donation drives, holiday gift deliveries (riding in convoy to deliver food and supplies to poorer communities during festivals), and have shown up to assist in emergency response (for instance, helping transport relief materials to areas hit by floods).

Fellowship Events: To strengthen bonds, the group also holds meet-ups and workshops – such as monthly rider meetups, first-aid training for riders, and skill-sharing sessions (mechanics teaching basic bike maintenance or senior riders coaching newer ones). These events build a supportive community and improve everyone’s readiness to contribute.

Upcoming and past events are typically publicized on Riders for Charity’s social media pages and sometimes local news. The Activities & Events page includes a calendar and photo highlights of these initiatives, showing the riders in action both on and off the road.
